Oh God..this is probably the most excruciating fanart I have ever made up until this point. A little backdrop on how this piece formed. It all started in July when I got into the Naruto fandom, and enticed by the fact that there's little fanart of adult Sasuke and Sakura, I wanted to draw something with them together...so, out of that little whim, I created a personal hell which went on and off for 5 months.

See, there's a big mistake I made right fom the beginning. I actually drew this thing on an 11x17 paper, which meant an easy format to use when sketching, but a whole can of worms in itself when it comes to coloring and scanning. Especially scanning.
Got tired of sketching and inking it, and then I put it off for a month when I went back to my country...when I started again, even coloring Sasuke alone took me 3 1/2hours..Sakura probably took 5....The night sky probably took a good 4 hours or so until I was satisfied with the hue.
And then I realized at that point that since I drew them in my style, some people don't recognize them..and since I drew them quite a long time ago, I didn't like how it turned out, with some faults showing that I didn't notice before..too late to turn back at that point though...school started and I had to squeeze the abysmal amounts of time I had left to continue it.

Finally this month I got motivated (or..precisely yelled at by my friends who knew that I've been neglecting it..) and started slaving for the remaining parts...the rightmost tree was the worst since it took me 7 hours, still...and after all that work I was just dying to get it over with. So I thought that I can just scan it and then..voila! upload! yaaayyy!

Not exactly what happened..I scanned it 4 times due to the size..and then the school's scanner died on me during the 4th time..bad sign. Got help from the assistants, saved it..took it home...and that's when the last period of hell started.
Piecing this thing together took me more than an hour. And if you can still see bits of uneven parts, it's because I can't get it to overlap perfectly, even though there's probably 6-7 layers in the whole picture itself.

Oh well...lesson to be learned here is to consider EVERY aspect of your piece before you start on it...I learned that the hard way...agh! I hope it's worth it, even though I'm not satisfied at all with it.

For people who actually made it all the way reading through the whining and babbling, thank you very much..hahahhaaaa...


Time it took for me to finish this drawing: I stopped counting after 30+ hours.
